Kelly Selden

What excites me when I’m choosing subjects for my work is the degradation of surfaces that are rusted, painted or altered over time. I enjoy shooting overlooked subjects hoping to invite viewers to interpret the images in a new and personal way. Texture has always been prominent in my work be it textile, print media or photography.

My photographs are printed in California using an archival process that infuses dyes directly onto specially coated aluminum plates giving the photographs an extraordinary luminescence. They are all 12"x12" and are ready to hang without a frame.
