How we support Local Artists

We are a welcoming community of artists who love supporting and inspiring each other. Whether you're just starting out or have been creating for years, we're here to share ideas, tips, and encouragement. Our group is all about inclusivity and providing a safe space where everyone feels welcome to express themselves. If you're looking to expand your skills, connect with like-minded individuals, and grow as an artist, you've found the right place.

Become a member

Showcase your work at our Member Shows, the Comox Community Centre, and the Comox Library, and receive 80% of the sales. Additionally, you can sell art cards in our Gallery and receive 80% of the sales.
We understand that sharing your art can be intimidating. Our community provides a safe place for all artists, whether you're just starting out or pushing the boundaries of conventional art.
We've partnered with local stores to help reduce costs for our artists. Enjoy discounts at Benjamin Moore, Monk's, PJ's, Kiki's, and more.
We provide two annual education bursaries for high school students pursuing art as a career.
Volunteer in the gallery or behind the scenes, and connect with other artists in the community.

Seeking Proposals

Share your skills with our Gallery Learning Series, a new monthly program where Pearl Ellis Gallery members can lead artist talks, demonstrations, workshops, discussions, performances, and more. You don't need to be a professional instructor or expert. If you have a technique, creative process, practical skill, or experience to share, we'd love to hear your idea.

Teresa Hart’s work is on display at the Vancouver Island Regional Library in Comox until September 3, 2026.

Originally from Alberta, Teresa Hart has called the Comox Valley home since 2006. After visiting friends here, Teresa and her family fell in love with the area and chose to make the beautiful Comox Valley their home.
