Jennifer Harrison

$0.00

Jennifer’s interest in art started in the 1970’s when she learned how to spin and weave. She acquired a floor loom, and spent many happy hours with Richmond Spinners and Weavers. Later, a move to the Comox Valley in 1993 found Jennifer juggling a part time teaching job and running a garden centre with her husband. As an outlet for creativity, she joined the Schoolhouse Quilters Guild.

She has taken many workshops from inspiring fabric artists. One in particular, Lorraine Roy, taught the technique, ‘collage under net’. This technique changed Jennifer’s approach from piecing bed quilts to creating smaller works of original art.

Jennifer enjoys capturing her love of Nature in her work. Other hobbies include gardening, reading, writing, and travelling to natural places with her husband whose passion is photography. She looks forward to expanding her love of art with the Comox Valley Art Group.
