Painter of Happyscapes

I call my work “happyscapes” because my goal is to produce something that makes me, and hopefully others, smile.

Painting began, in earnest, when I retired (young) a few years ago. I play mostly in acrylics but also do watercolours and mixed mediums. Subjects range from jellybean houses, funky doors, interior rooms, hotdogs to snowmen and everything in between. I also do fun cards and gift tags, work on canvas or birch panels and do customized watercolour “lifeline” paintings (your life/story/interests on a clothes line!). Schinkel happyscapes hang in homes around the world.
