The Magic of Papermaking – A Demonstration with Glenn Gustafson

Date: March 29, 1:30 – 4:00 PM
Location: The Lion’s Den, Comox
Level: Beginner
Cost: $25 per person

Papermaking is an ancient art still practiced by hand around the world today. In this engaging demonstration, attendees will learn how to make paper at home using simple, everyday equipment and pulp made from recycled paper. Glenn will incorporate natural inclusions such as leaves, grass, seeds, wasp nests, and seaweed, with a special focus on creating pulp from cattails.

After the demonstration, attendees will have the opportunity to try "pulling" their own sheets of handmade paper.
